A project in conjunction with the Tokyo National Museum to celebrate its 150th Anniversary this year in 2022, the first release being the works of Hioshige Utagawa and the "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido".
Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) was one of the great masters of the Japanese landscape woodblock print. In 1833, he produced a suite of prints that followed the imperial road called the Tōkaidō, which ran from Edo (modern Tokyo) to the emperor's palace in Kyoto, a works he is the most famous for.
Here, everyday scenes of the old Tokaido life are immortalised in the beautiful works, emblazoned across the Bearbrick medium.
Please note Medicom Toy use a hydro-printing method to create unique and detailed print coverage, because of this every Bearbrick will differ slightly in design. Units are all brand new, sealed and selected at random. Delivered item may appear different compared to listing photos. We do not open units and there is strictly no returns or exchanges on Bearbricks once they are open/if you are unhappy with the location of prints.
